Jidnyasa

Jidnyasa--A Quest for knowledge. Thirst to know more about everything.  It troubles young minds constantly and the thirst needs to be quenched!

Students of class 8 ,9 & 10 ,who are in their career-deciding phase have a plethora of questions regarding various career options. There's a lot of confusion in choosing from the diverse careers. To help them explore the wide array of careers and facilitate decision - making , Darshana Bhide, Renu Mujumdar and Dr.Meenal  Mohgaonkar started the "Jidnyasa" programme. Only professionals in a particular field can share accurate and comprehensive information about that field. Jidnaysa was the link between  professionals and curious minds.

Under the banner of Jidynasa , professionals were invited to interact and share their experiences with a group of 20-25 enthusiastic and interested students who had enrolled for this activity.
The professionals talked about how they identified their interests, followed their passions, chose their career paths and about various qualities and strengths needed to excel in that particular profession. The students were free to ask all kinds of questions they had regarding the profession.

A delicious recipe for a career in Hotel Management by Anand  Karandikar , the challenges in the field of Journalism by the vastly experienced Journalist Vandanta  Atre , the ingredients of "Successful Entrepreneurship" discussed by Businessman Suhas  Doshi , a zoom-in into the World of Photography by Mr.Choughule , an X-ray of career in the Medical Field by Dr. Ashwini Ghaisas , an animated account by Animation maestro  Sangram  Borse that tickled everybody's creative mind , hair-raising experiences of valour in the  Wars by Colonel  Deshpande  were some of the various interactive sessions arranged for the students.
Students even got a chance to interact with other students of their age, like Kedar Tatvavadi , Rohit Babar, Harshavardhan Patil ,Gaurav  Bagwe, who had followed their dreams and scaled great heights overcoming all adversities.

A few other activities included a session with Mugdha  Lele on Emotional Intelligence ,eco-friendly Ganpati  Making workshop  by Dr.Shreeya Kulkarni ,Scientific Toys making workshop  by Satish Bhide, Warli Painting workshop by  Sonal and a visit to the Gavkari  Press with Vandana  Atre. A full day trip with an extensive workshop on  Parent - Child relationship by Anita Borkar was also arranged.

Through these sessions,  Jidnyasa helped students get acquainted to various professions and take a step forward in choosing a career path!  The children also learnt to appreciate the value of hard work that needs to be put in to succeed in their chosen career.
